Is Thailand Safe to
Visit?
Is Thailand Safe for Kids?
These two questions about whether Thailand
is safe to visit and especially whether it's safe for kids are on
everyone's mind that is planning on visiting in the next year.
Thailand is not
like your country. You will probably never be as safe in
Thailand as you feel at home right now in your country.
But, that said, it's pretty damn safe
considering.
The general level of poverty in Thailand is spread wide across a lot
of people. Kids in Bangkok are looking for easy scores - purses,
gold necklaces, your wallet, your phone... Even in the small towns. My girlfriend in one week in Ubon had her wallet
taken from her basket on the motorbike and had her phone taken out
of her pocket at the bank. Most robbery and theft does not include
violence.
Criminals are getting
more bold - like in all countries.
Is Thailand safe to
visit? Yes - unless you are prone to violence or being really
stupid. Most people have not problems at all.
That's the short answer. If you're prepared
for a large percentage of the things that might happen to you - then
you're much more safe and you should come and visit.
